PURPOSE:To provide an airtight glass lens cap where a glass lens is surely fixed inside the outer edge of a cylindrical eyelet without making its peripheral edge protruding out of the cylindrical eyelet. CONSTITUTION:A spherical glass lens 12 formed by making molten glass adhere to a flange-shaped part 14 formed by bending the one end of a cylindrical eyelet 10 inward is fixed to form an airtight lens cap, where a molten glass stopper is provided to the flange-shaped part 14 at a position inside the outer edge of the eyelet so as to prevent molten glass from flowing over the outer edge of the eyelet. |
