PURPOSE:To obtain a distortion correcting device which can correct the parallelogram held by the deflection yoke of a monitor television receiver without replacing the deflection yoke. CONSTITUTION:A means 15 to synchronize at a vertical deflection current and generate a sawtooth distortion correcting signal in which the level and the polarity are variable from positive to negative is provided, a horizontal synchronizing signal is delayed by a horizontal synchronizing signal delaying circuit 5 in accordance with the level and polarity of the distortion correcting signal. Then, by changing the level of the distortion correcting signal, the quantity to correct the parallelogram distortion can be adjusted, and the direction of the inclination of the parallelogram distortion corrected by changing the polarity can be changed. |
