PURPOSE:To provide a developing device where the tightly pressing force of a blade against a developing roller is stable, no large deflection of a blade holder is generated, the manufacturing cost increase is prevented and collection of toner between the blade and the developing roller can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:A developing device is characterized by that it is provided with a developing roller 4 and a thin layer forming member 12 which achieves the frictional electrification of the toner (T) while forming a thin layer of one- content toner (T) on the surface of the developing roller 4, and that the thin layer forming member 12 is provided with a blade holding bar 13 comprised of a solid round bar and an elastic blade 14 which is fixed at least to one part in the circumferential direction of the blade holding bar 13 and is brought into contact with the surface of the developing roller 1. |
