<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a voltage-dependent nonlinear element whose manufacture is easy and whose irregularity in a varistor voltage is small. CONSTITUTION:ZnO particles having a particle size of 0.05 to 1mum are heated and baked; their sintered substance is crushed to form sintered-substance particles 11; an insulating bonding material is added to and mixed with the sintered-substance particles 11 so as to be paintlike. This mixture is arranged between electrodes 2, 2 and heated. Thereby, a voltage-dependent nonlinear element 1 is manufactured. A low-melting-point glass 12 (e.g. lead glass) which contains one or more kinds out of Co, Mn, Phi, Pr, Sb and Ti is used as the bonding material.</p> |
