<p>PURPOSE:To provide the high-polymer liquid crystal composite film PDLC display element which is bright in display and high in contrast, is clear and is suitable for displaying moving pictures by weakening the interaction of a high-polymer matrix and liquid crystal molecules to lower the driving voltage of the PDLC. CONSTITUTION:The high-polymer matrix 6 constituting the PDLC display element is formed by photopolymerizing a high-polymer precursor contg. at least a biphenyl ester methacrylate deriv. or phenyl ester acrylate deriv. in one component. The PDLC 1 consisting of such constitution is driven by a nonlinear element, such as TFT or MIM 4.</p> |
