PURPOSE:To minimize the dead time, by performing PCM conversion with a delayed sampling pulse as the cardinal point and by transmitting the signal by the next synchronizing pulse. CONSTITUTION:The transmission synchronizing signal is input to terminal 112 and is delayed by delay circuit 311 to form a sampling pulse, and the input signal is sampled. After that, the input signal is PCM-converted and is stored in buffer memory 120 temporarily and is read out from the memory synchronously with the next transmission synchronizing signal. If the delay time is so selected that the latency time may be minimum, the overall coding time is determined by the time required for PCM conversion. |
