OPTICAL PULSE WAVEFORM GENERATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide the total luminous optical pulse waveform generation device capable of generating optical signal waveforms independent each other during arbitrary time at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A variable wavelength continuous oscillation laser beam from a writing laser 2 is modulated by a data signal by a light intensity modulator 3, and the modulated light is written in an optical storage member 8 at a low speed. At the generation of an optical pulse, the variable wavelength pulse oscillation laser beam is irradiated from a reading laser 9 to this material 8. The obtained output light is put through a light shutter 11 and the only signal light is taken out by excluding an excitation pulse light to be supplied to an optical detector 12. The waveform of the light detection signal is observed on an oscilloscope 13. A desired high-density optical waveform is written in advance at a low speed, thus generating optical pulse waveforms at any time.
