PURPOSE:To provide an iron-core material, for alternating-current use, wherein its saturation flux density is high and its electric resistance is high. CONSTITUTION:A material which contains 15 to 60wt.% of Co, 1 to 8wt.% of Si or/and Al, Fe as its essential residual part and V, Cr or rare-earth elements as required is provided. The material is formed by melting an alloy; the molten alloy is changed into a powder by gas atomization; the powder is canned; it is worked to a thin sheet by an HIP method, a hot extrusion method, a hot constrain forging method or the like. Consequently, the high flux density of the material is ensured by Co, and the high electric resistance of the material is imparted Si or/and Al. |
