PURPOSE:To store a movement course where a vehicle travels in the past as track data, to refer to the data when the vehicle travels to the same destination again, and to effectively assist driving as to the navigation device equipped with a means which stores the track data on the passed course and displays the stored data for reference. CONSTITUTION:The navigation device is equipped with a track gathering means- which gathers and stores track data based upon a position on a current position, a track storing means which stores gathered track data on an area sectioned by a start point and the end point of gathering as to one or plural areas, a track control means which stores the track data gathered by the track gathering means in a track storing means together with information regarding the gathering area of the track data with an external instruction and controls the track data stored in the track storing means with a track control table, a controller 27 which selects track data on an externally instructed area among the track data stored in the track gathering means and track storing means, a track display means 25 which displays the track in the instructed area together with map information, etc. |
