PURPOSE:To enable freshness control and price control over fresh food, cooked food, etc., without checking merchandises by a staff in charge as to the bar code medium where a new bar code is displayed and merchandise control system which uses the bar doce medium, specially, a merchandise control system which performs the freshness control and price control over the merchandires at a POS terminal device. CONSTITUTION:The bar code which has date and time information regarding sale control over the merchandises is displayed on the bar code medium. further, the merchandise control system which uses this bar code has a bar code reader 2 and the POS terminal equipment 3 which processes data of the read bar code. The POS terminal equipment 3 has a bar code read control part 31 which is connected to the reader 2 and receives the data of the bar code, a timer circuit control part 33 which outputs the current data and/or time, and a bar code data analytic processing part 32 which compares the data of the bar code with the current data and/or time to determine the sale control over the merchandises. |
