<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a position information input device which is assembled into a keyboard for the movement of a pointer (cursor). CONSTITUTION:Many rotors (spehrical bodies) 8 are connected to each other or put continuously with each other, and the rotor 8 of a prescribed operating area can move in its revolving or connecting direction. An encoder 7 detects the revolution of the rotor 8 and an encoder 6 detects the movement of the rotor 8 respectively. Based on these pieces of detection information, a pointer is moved in a biaxial direction. Furthermore a switch is made correspond to the rotor 8 of the prescribed operating area and this area is segmented into plural parts. Thus the three-dimensional movement of the pointer is enabled with making resolving power plural corresponding to the movement of the pointer.</p> |
