PURPOSE:To easily couple plural display parts by pressing electrode members by a pressing member consisting of a soft part and a rigid part, thereby assuring an electrical bond. CONSTITUTION:Plural planar EL elements 21 having electrodes 20 on the main planes are juxtaposed and are disposed adjacent to each other in such a manner that, for example, the two EL elements 21 are disposed adjacent each other and directed upward and the corresponding electrodes 20 of the adjacent EL elements 21 are aligned. A film member 23 having metallic wirings 22 on its main plane is so disposed on the adjacent E1 elements 21 that its metallic wirings 22 are bridged between the corresponding electrodes 20. The pressing member 24 is pressed from the rear surface of the film member 23 and is brought into pressurized contact therewith. The pressing member 24 consists of the soft part 25 having an insulating characteristic and resilience and the rigid part 26 holding this part. The rigid part 26 and the EL elements 21 are crimped by a frame body and press the metallic wirings 22 to the corresponding electrodes 20 by maintaining the elastic recovery force of the soft part 25, by which the electrical coupling between the adjacent electrodes is attained. |
