The present invention relates to a system of wooden runners for furniture and the like. This system comprises a number of runner elements (3) each composed of moulded lamellar parts (5) glued together and forming on one side at least one male end and on the opposite side at least one dovetail or similar type of complementary female end. The different runner elements (3) are fitted together by engaging said complementary male and female ends.
