PURPOSE:To eliminate the handling of an interface or the like between function blocks by providing a processor for remote maintenance equipped with a data transfer circuit to transfer control information between first and second dual port memories. CONSTITUTION:This processor is provided with the dual port memory in a control part 5A to which the control information is allocated, first interface circuit to enable asynchronous access from a CPU 1 to the dual port memory, and second interface circuit to enable asynchronous access from a processor 6 for remote maintenance to the dual port memory. A bus 4 is accessed by the interface circuit in the control part 5A, the control part 5A and the processor 6 for remote maintenance are physically attached/detached by the other interface circuit in the control part 5A, the dual port memory is set as the storage area of the 'control information' and the asynchronous access to the 'control information' is enabled from both CPU 1 and processor 6 for remote maintenance. |
