PURPOSE:To prevent a sound series which is not available as a phrase or ineffective note data from being generated as a result of a shift when constituent sounds of a phrase which is already registered are shifted by an octave and edited. CONSTITUTION:This automatic playing device consists of a performance pattern memory 13 and an automatic performance data memory 14 stored with plural phrase sound data to be called selectively with a key or operation button, and a musical sound generating means 15 which generates a sound generation signal corresponding to constituent notes from digital waveform information, and is provided with a musical sound control part 12 which corrects the constituent note data of the phrase, an interval shifting means which increases or decreases the interval of each note data being edited by one octave in response to the operation of the key K2, a shift limit processing means which puts the data back to the state before the shifting when the shifted interval exceeds a predetermined upper-limit or lower-limit value, and an edited phrase sound data storage means (RAM 9) stored with the edited note data. |
