The card has a white cover layer (3) and a magnetic layer (4) applied to a carrier band (1) for application to one surface of the card carrying a white or transparent plastics surface (6). The magnetic layer (4) is sandwiched between the latter and the white cover layer (3), and the entire surface of the card, including that with the concealed magnetic layer (4) is printed before combining with a further coloured or transparent layer. Pref. The carrier band (1) has an adhesive coating (5) on the side opposite the magnetic layer (4) and allowing it to be attached to the plastics surface (6) of the card.
