The tool support (10) is held in a holding fixture (9) by two tapered jaws (2,3) on a transverse pin (5) having opposite hand threads (6,7) at each end. When turned by a socket drive (23) the pin opens or closes the jaws, pulling the tool holder into or pushing it out of the fixture. Oil seals (36,38) in the central insert (12) allow coolant to be fed from the bore (19) in the holding fixture to the tool holder (20) via oilways (18). ADVANTAGE - Positive location and torque transmission with tool holder easily removed.
