File for holding documents - has labels with ribs which fit with snap-action in openings in file spine

The document file has covers flexibly connected to the spine (10). The spine has two rectangular openings with reinforced edges. These openings receive ribs (38) which project from a rectangular label (32) which carries information about the documents stored in the file. The edges (16,18) of the openings (24,26) have V shaped grooves which grip the ribs of the label with a snap action and hold the label in place.Smaller labels (28,30) carrying reference symbols are fitted into holes of corresponding sizes. USE/ADVANTAGE - Documents files with firmly attached labels which are easily placed in position and removed.
