PURPOSE:To prevent the over-charge by deciding at initial stage whether the charging is requied or not. CONSTITUTION:When connecting a plug 1 to AC power source the voltage of battery 6 is provided to a voltage detecting circuits 22, 28. When the detected voltage level is below predetermined level, a transistor 27 is turned on by the voltage detector 28 to charge the battery 6 by the output current from a rectifier 18. When the charging voltage reaches to predetermined level, a timer 15 is started and when the setting time of the timer 15 has elapsed the charging is completed. Thereafter the plug 1 is disconnected to interlock a contact 4RY-a thus to prevent the over-charging even if the plug 1 is connected again. However if the voltage of battery 6 is below predetermined level, the interlock of contact 4RY-a is released to perform recharging. |
