摘要 A process for removing Cu and/or Ni from aq. media using special anion exchange resins (I), (I) are produced from the chloromethylated derivs. of crosslinked styrene copolymers obtd. by radical suspension polymerisation with addn. of swelling and/or pptg. agents, by amination with amines of formula (IIA or IIB) or mixts. of 2 or more such amines, for 2-20 hrs. at temps. between 40 deg.C and the reflux temp. of (II), where R = H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or aminoalkyl, X = O or S. Pref. polymers are produced by suspension copolymerisation of styrene with 1-20 wt.% divinylbenzene (DVB) with addn. of inert swelling/pptn. agents to provide porosity, pref. (II) is aminoethylpiperazine. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is useful in hydrometallurgy, for the removal, recovery and concn. of Cu and Ni from aq. media, in contrast to prior-art ion exchange resins for this application, (I) have a high absorption capacity for Cu and Ni ions from strongly acid solns.
