There is a casing (1) with an axially movable tie tube (4). A hand lever (2) engages on the tube to move it from a grip position to a riveting position. The free tube end with clamp jaws (5) projects into a sleeve (7) on the casing. The rivet is pushed into the holder, until the mandrel extends between the jaws of the tube, and the rivet head engages. The sleeve is adjustable in axial direction of the tube, relative to the tong casing. The distance between the mandrel holder and the clamp jaws of the tube is adjustable. ADVANTAGE - Manual force required for riveting is reduced to minimum.
