WIPER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME

A wiper assembly comprises an elongated arm (10) and a wiping blade (13, 20) which protrudes from the underside of the arm (10). The arm (19) is a carrier for the blade (13, 20) and is formed with a channel in its underside to receive the blade. This channel may also contain a duct (15) which could be utilised as a conduit for either washing fluid, which is discharged from slots beside the blade, or for an electrical heating element (18). Additionally, the wiper arm may be composed of a one-piece member or of two separable elements.
