Hydrophobic pigments and fillers contain 0.05-10 wt.% organopolysiloxane of formula (I). x = 0-500; y = 5-500; z = 5-500; R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 = satd. and/or unsatd. opt. branched, 1-4C alkyl and/or 6-9C aryl, opt. substd. by alkyl gps.; and R7 = 6-18C alkyl where at least 3% gps. bonded to Si are R7 and H. Prepn. of the fillers and pigments by adding to the filler or pigment, before or during subsequent grinding or before and/or during dust-drying, (I) and opt., as mixt. or in either order, a polymethylhydrogen-siloxane of formula (II) where m = 5-200. R1= R2 = R3 = R4 = R5 = R6 = Me. x = 0-100, y = 5-100, z = 5-100, where x + y + z = 25-300, and of gps. linked to Si at least 3% are R7 and at least 10% are H. Partic. x = 0, y = 5-50, z = 5-60, where y + z = more than 25, and of gps. linked to Si at least 10% are R7 and at least 30% are H. R7 = dodecyl and/or tetradecyl. Pigments and fillers contain 0.05-10 wt.% combination of (I) and (II) in ratio 4:1 1:4. Pigments and fillers contain 0.1-5 wt.% (I) or (I) + (II). Granulated pigments contain 0.3-5 wt.% (I) or (I) + (II).
