A submersible molten metal pump (10) is provided which allows for ingestion and expelling of a solid piece or semi-solid piece without breaking any of the pump parts. A pump casing (12) has a cylindrical non-volute pump chamber (14), an imperforated triangular rotor (20) mounted on the chamber (14) and sized to fit through the inlet, and flow blocking and bearing plate (202) mounted on one face of the rotor. |
