摘要 Fluorine-resistant refractory material, consists of (i) a basic matrix of 20-97 wt. % aluminosilicate raw material; (ii) a binder matrix of 2.5-65 wt. % clay and opt. finely ground ceramic raw materials of aluminosilicate type; and (iii) 0.5-15 wt. % lime component. The material pref. contains 13-98 (pref. more than 70) % Al203. The basic matrix pref. has a particle size of 0.2-4mm and may comprise fire=clay, bauxite, corundum, alumina, mullite or andalusite. The binder matrix pref. has a particle size of less than 0.2mm. The lime component pref. has a particle size of less than 2mm and may be burnt lime, slaked lime, calcium carbonate etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - The material is used (a) for lining chambers in which fluorine can occur (e.g. in waste incineration, waste gas cleaning and cement mfr) (b) for lining electrolytic Al prodn. vessels; and (c) in the form of spent material with at least 70% Al2O3 content as raw material for aluminium prodn. It can be used as surface levelling material or a joint filler or as fired bricks.
