The invention concerns a devic for massaging pieces of meat. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a vessel (5) for receiving a chunk of meat, which vessel can be closed by a closure body (15), which is provided with a wormscrew for agitating said wormscrew (34) in contact with the meat. This allows the massaging of the meat and the pressure, without the meat being damaged. The closure body is bell-shaped, in which the bottom (16) thereof co-acts with the vessel edge (17). According to a preferred embodiment the axis of the wormscrew extends vertically, it is driven from above. According to a further preferred embodiment the vessel can be lifted during the massaging action, so that all pieces of meat can being present in the vessel are being processed. |
