摘要 The wheels (10, 12) are steered by respective track rod sections (22, 26) on which the transverse thrust (F1) or tension (F1') in reaction against the lateral tyre forces (Fs, Fs') is measured by transducers (28, 30) wired to a processing circuit (36). On a vehicle with servo-assisted steering, a sensor (72) of the auxiliary effort in the steering gear (24) also sends a signal to the processor (36). A transverse acceleration limit value is worked out and low-pass filtered (Tp) for input (40) to the control system (38). USE/ADVANTAGE - For suspension control. Limit on actual transverse acceleration obtd. without recourse to accelerometers.
