Object: to provide a new type of a compound having an angiotensin II receptor blocker activity, thus contributing to the therapy of hypertension and cardiac insufficiency. Constitution: a thienopyrimidin-4-one derivative represented by general formula (I) and a salt thereof, wherein (a) represents (b), (c) or (d), wherein R<1> and R<2> represent each hydrogen, alkyl or phenyl, or alternatively when R<1> is adjacent to R<2>, R<1> and R<2> are combined together to represent alkylene; R<3> represents alkyl or alkylthio; B represents a carbon-to-carbon single bond or -NHCO-; R<4> represents carboxyl, sulfoxyl or tetrazol-5-yl; and X represents hydrogen or halogen. |
