PURPOSE:To sew seeds and rear seedlings of grains, vegetables, flowers, etc., without damaging the seedlings or roots by superposing a water-insoluble film having holes at parts corresponding to sites carrying seeds on the lower part of a water-soluble sheetlike support carrying the seeds, growing radicles and then removing the support. CONSTITUTION:A seeding sheetlike support 3 carrying seeds on a water-soluble or a water-dispersible sheetlike support 3 prepared from fibrous carboxymethyl cellulose and wood pulp, etc., as raw materials with a tacky agent is placed on an artificial culture medium composed of nursery mats 4, etc., to carry out germination of seeds and rearing of seedlings. In the process, a water-insoluble sheetlike film 1 such as a polyester having openings 2 at parts corresponding to the sites carrying the seeds of the support 3 is superposed and placed under the sheetlike support 3 carrying the seeds to grow roots. The sheetlike support 3 corresponding to parts other than the sites corresponding to the holes 2, together with the water-insoluble sheetlike film 1, is removed to sow seeds and rear seedlings without damaging the seedlings or seeds at the time of dividing at the time of planting in water culture of grains, vegetables, flowers, etc. |
