<p>PURPOSE:To improve the control accuracy for the thickness of a thick steel plate by using an automatic plate thickness control according to the absolute value AGC based on a gagemeter model. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of a working roll of a rolling mill is measured to find the inherent value in the rigidity of the mill from a function for the mill rigidity, the value of the gagemeter model is corrected based on the mill rigidity and the plate thickness is controlled by adding the correction to the gagemeter model.</p> |
