PURPOSE:To improve the brightness, light-resistance and sensitivity of a thermosensitive recording material. CONSTITUTION:An undercoat layer which contains titanium dioxide processed through surface treatment with Al2O3.nH2O and/or SiO2.nH2O is provided on one surface of a supporting body in the form of a sheet. A thermosensitive recording layer is provided on the undercoat layer. The crystalline structure of titanium dioxide is better to be rutile type from the viewpoint of the light resistance, and moreover, it is effective that the undercoat layer contains burnt, clay and/or a plastic pigment to improve the sensitivity. |
