PURPOSE:To obtain the subject small-sized device, composed of a specific construction, capable of extending the band of resonance frequency range and suitable for efficiently producing non-oil and low-caloric popcorn with a microwave oven without any remaining unpopped corn. CONSTITUTION:A resonator for producing popcorn is equipped with a metallic plate 1 having one or plural slots 3, a heat-resistant insulating film or net 4 covering the top surfaces of the slots 3 so as not to slip off a heating medium such as corn grains of a microwave oven from the slots 3. The metallic plate 1 or the film or net 4 forms a housing part for the heating medium of the microwave oven having slopes toward the center. The film or net 4 is preferably provided through a gap between it and the slots. |
