PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive electric motor device for a vehicle wherein torque generated in an engine and torque generated in a motor can be utilized. CONSTITUTION:An engine 21 actuated by combustion of fuel and a motor 25 which rotates a rotor by flowing current a coil of a stator and also generates a power when it is rotated, are provided to arrange a clutch 24 between the engine 21 and the motor 25. In the clutch 24, rotation is transmitted selectively between a transmitting shaft connected to the rotor and a rotary shaft on an engine side. The rotation transmitted to the transmitting shaft is transmitted to a differential gear and to right/left driving wheels. A power generating means 28 of generating power by receiving rotation of the engine 21 is provided, and a battery can be charged by converting surplus torque of the engine 21 into electric energy by the power generating means 28. In the case of starting the engine 21, a starting means is actuated. |
