<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a repeatedly usable carbon dioxide adsorbent by adding carbonate selected from a group consisting of potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate to an adsorbent selected from a group consisting of alumina, a silica gel and zeolite. CONSTITUTION:Since an adsorbent has a porous structure and a surface area of about 100-1000m<2>/g, the adsorbent has high adsorbing power due to Van der Waals force and is markedly enhanced in reactivity because it adsorbs carbon dioxide and moisture in air by interfacial activity. Further, when potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate is reacted with carbon dioxide, moisture is required as a catalyst and a reaction speed is markedly increased by the coexistence with moisture. Therefore, the carbon dioxide adsorbent is enhanced in the reactivity with carbon dioxide in air and easily regenerated and becomes suitable for the removal of carbon dioxide.</p> |
