PURPOSE:To obtain the device enabling highly precise distance measurement even for a subject at a great distance easy to produce spot lack. CONSTITUTION:The distance measurement device is provided with a light emission means 1 for emitting light toward a distance measurement objective and a first light receiving means 2A and a second light receiving means 2B for sandwiching the light emission means 1 on both sides. Discrimination is performed on whether a distance measurement objective is easy to erroneously measure a distance by means of an output signal of the light receiving means 2 and, if the discrimination is performed on whether erroneous distance measurement is easily done by spot lack and the like, a light emission quantity of the light emission means, namely, the number of light emissions a light emission time is increased to execute the distance measurement for the purpose of increase of distance measurement precision. |
