PURPOSE:To control a degree of cooling a printing head carefully by making printing downtime variable and besides to cool the printing head effectively without prolonging printing downtime to a required length or over. CONSTITUTION:Printing downtime after printing in a dot of a printing line is determined based on the number of total printing dots in the printing line and a detected value of temperature of a printing head, and a next printing line is not printed until the printing downtime elapses from end of printing of a corresponding printing line to cool the printing head. Besides, the cooling effect of the cooling head is raised by printing the corresponding printing line in one side direction. |
