摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance a recording sensitivity and form an image superior in shelf stability and the like by a method wherein when an image is to be formed using a chelate dye, a layer containing a compound shown by a specific general formula is provided on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording material for forming an image on a recording medium using a chelate dye produced by the reaction of a thermally diffusing dye, which can be chelated, with a metal ion-containing compound, a layer containing at least one of compounds shown by a formula I [R1, R2, and R3 represent hydrogen atom or substituent and may be the same or different from each other; X represents -CR1R5R6 or -NR4R5 (R4, R5, and R6 have the same meaning as R1); and R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 may be bonded with each other to form a ring] is provided on a substrate. This compound having an effect of accelerating a chelating reaction enhances a recording sensitivity and improves the deterioration of fixing properties, shelf stability, and color reproducibility.
