<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the number of change-over switches and increase an input speed, by providing a writing area detector, and making a detected area a high rank bit of the coordinate code so that plural detecting elementary points can be scanned at the same time. CONSTITUTION:An X conductor and a Y conductor are provided on both the faces of a pressure sensitive conductive sheet 22, voltage is applied in order periodically to the X conductor, the Y conductor is divided into 4 groups, and voltage is applied in order periodically to each group. The conductors YA1-YA4 are provided on one surface of the sheet so as to correspond to each group of the Y conductor, and a common conductor YAC is provided onthe other surface. Before designating a position by pushing the sheet with a pen, the position of the Y co-ordinate is roughly designated by pushing one of YA1-YA4. Resulting from the foregoing, a high rank code of the Y coordinate is read out by the register 34. After that, the low rank codes of the X coordinate and the Y coordinate (coordinate in a group of the designated Y conductor) are obtained by pushing a desired position with a pen.</p> |
