PURPOSE:To ensure that a printing sheet is stably fixed and thereby a dot position is prevented from becoming offset or print quality is improved by moving a hammer bank back and forth, then printing data within this movement range and feeding the line of the sheet by a specified number of dots prior to the completion of printing in the shuttle movement range. CONSTITUTION:A dot line printer moves a hammer bank back and forth using a shuttle mechanism in accordance with Sin speed motion or uniform motion by which to maintain uniform speed. Then data is printed using a print timing pulse within a range other than a reversing part in the shuttle motion of the hammer bank, and a line feed motion is performed using a line feed timing pulse after the end of a final print timing pulse. In this case, the timing of line feed is advanced by alphat from the final pulse for print timing, and subsequently, the line of the sheet is fed by a specified number of dots before the end of a final printing process. Thus printing is ready before a printing time when the action to feed the line ends and a printing sheet can be stably set. |
