PURPOSE:To provide a cushioning member which can be made at a low cost, has an excellent cushioning function, and can be folded into a compact size by a method wherein a hollow pillar shaped cushioning body is formed by combining a cushioning body main body and a spacer for which a corrugated fiberboard is folded, and the end part of an object-to-be- packed is fitted in the recessed groove and is supported. CONSTITUTION:The cushioning member is constituted of a main body member 100 and a subsidiary member 200, which are made of one sheet of corrugated fiberboard, and three sets of folding lines in parallel A-F are provided on confronted two edge parts of the main body member 100, and they are folded into a U-shape, and a pair of hollow square pillar shaped bodies with a specified interval are formed, and supporting pieces 3 with a recessed shape to fix the folded shape are formed into cut and erected pieces. A spacer with a U-shaped cross section is formed by providing two folding lines in parallel L, M on the subsidiary member 200, and a cushioning body equipped with a recessed groove to support the end part of an object-to-be-packed is formed by folding, by fitting the spacer in a pair of hollow square pillar shaped bodies. Also, notches for folding 8, 9 with an approximately hexagonal shape, which bend the cushioning body, which is folded into hollow pillar shapes, into an L-shape, provided on the main body member 100. |
