NONWOVEN FABRIC EXCELLENT IN WATER ABSORPTIVITY

PURPOSE:To obtain nonwoven fabric having a smooth surface, flexible drapeability and durable hydrophilicity. CONSTITUTION:The subject nonwoven fabric is nonwoven fabric composed of conjugate fiber 5 composed of (A) a polyester containing a hydrophilizing agent having a structure in which a polyalkylene oxide chain is added to a polyalkylene polyamine skeleton and (B) a fiber-forming polymer having no compatibility with the component (A). Either of the components (A) and (B) is an ultra-fine fiber-forming component. At least one surface of the nonwoven fabric is covered with ultra-fine fibers 6 and 7 formed by splitting the above- mentioned fiber.
