Artificial pulp particles useful for producing paper-like sheet having excellent insulating property, heat resistance and reduced moisture-absorbing property, are composed of a plurality of fine particulate core consistuents consisting of a polyester material, for example, polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene 2,6-napthalate, which are embedded whithin and connected to each other by a matrix constituent consisting of a heat-resistant aromatic polymer material, for example, poly-m-phenylene isophthalamide, which is soluble in a solvent not capable of dissolving therein the polyester material.
