AIR PURIFICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS A method of purifying air in a room which is subjected to pollution with tobacco smoke, and odors, and/or any other particulate or odorous contaminants, consisting of the steps of directing purified air from an air purification unit within the room into a central zone within the room at a higher level above a lower occupant level, inducing the air from the lower level into the air in the higher level and also dispersing the air in the higher level to an area remote from the central zone to purify the air in the air purification unit which is located in the remote area, and directing air which has thus been purified back into the higher level of the central zone to repeat the foregoing cycle. An air purification unit including a housing having a top and a front, a blower within the housing, an air inlet in the top, an air outlet in the front, a low efficiency particulate filter and an odor filter between the air inlet and the blower, and a high efficiency particulate between the blower and the air outlet. |
