PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of improving the sharpness of an image produced from a color scanner, a CG, font data, etc., without causing a change in a color tone. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device has a characteristic as follows. Image density data is read out from an image density data storage circuit 210 by a reading circuit 220. In a reference wave phase determining circuit 240, the image data of a specific color N, at least, including a green component is used, so that a noticed picture element is divided into small picture elements, the density of each small picture element has RE-processing that the density of the noticed picture element is distributed according to the distribution of an adjacent picture element density data including the noticed picture element, and then, the centroid of the density is obtained to determine a selecting signal selecting specific triangular wave as a reference wave having a different phase, from the centroid of the density. The specific triangular wave is selected with the selecting signal, on selecting circuits 250A-250C, the original image density signals of each color are modulated with the above-mentioned triangular wave signal selected by a modulating circuit 260A-260C, to generate a pulse width modulated signal. |
