PURPOSE:To easily input a document by moving the position of a cursor of a next line to the same position as the preceding starting digit position in the case that the input of a character code overflows the line end of a document text. CONSTITUTION:In a document editor, the character code is inputted on the cursor displayed by a cursor display means 1 by a key input means 2. That character code is set in a document buffer B by a buffer control means 3, and the character code is displayed on a terminal display screen C by a picture display means 4. In the case that the character code is a line end, a line starting digit determining means 5 compares the starting digit position of a present line with the starting digit position of the line inputted immediately before, and when the present line is the continuous line of the first one, it makes the digit position obtained by subtracting '1' from the starting digit position of the present line having become the line end the starting digit position of the next line. Besides, in the case that this line having become the line end is the continuous line, the starting digit position of the next line is made the starting position of the present line having become the line end. A cursor changing means 6 displays the cursor on the same digit position as the changed starting ditit position of the next line. |
