CONSTITUTION:When a cursor is moved to the starting position and the ending position on the diagonal line of the box-shaped ruled line, and a finishing key is depressed, control is transferred to a box-shaped ruled line editing means 4 by a key input means 3, and cursor positions on a display screen are preserved, and the cursor positions of starting and ending are converted into the digit positions of a document buffer B, and the positions of two points on the diagonal line of the rectangle to determine a box shape are determined, and further, the lengths and the positions of four sides of the box-shaped ruled line are determined, and ruled line characters are set on four sides of the box shape on the document buffer B.
