PURPOSE:To reduce a high voltage in power source and to decrease a failure caused by the high voltage power source. CONSTITUTION:A discharger 30 and the high voltage power source 31 for impressing high voltage on the dischager 30 are provided around a photosensitive drum 1. Then, the recorder is provided with an electrostatic charging device 3 which uniformly electrostatically charges the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive drum 1 by the discharge from the discharger 30, an exposing device 4 which exposes the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive drum 1, a developing device having a developing roller 60 which carries and feeds developer to the photosensitive drum 1 side and resistances 61 and 62 which divide the voltage generated by the power source 31 and impress it on the roller 60, and an LED array 5 which removes an electrostatically charged charge and is installed at least at the part of the photosensitive drum 1 where it is opposed to the roller 60. At the time of stopping actions, the supply of the voltage by the power source 31 is stopped and the LED array 5 is allowed to act at the same time. Thereafter, the rotation of the photosensitive drum 1 is stopped and the action of the LED array 5 is stopped. |
