PURPOSE:To obtain stable transferring performance by automatically obtaining and impressing optimum power source voltage for a transfer roller as for a transfer material of every size and of every paper quality. CONSTITUTION:A current value within a specified range is stored in a transfer current memory 202, and a transfer current at the time when the transfer material is at a transfer part is measured by a transfer current measuring part 206, then the measured current value is compared with the stored current value in an output data comparison part 207. Based on output from the comparison part 207, a power source voltage control part 208 controls the voltage which is given to the transfer roller so that the current value measured by the measuring part 206 may be within the specified range of the current value shown by the memory 202. A transfer voltage memory 209 stores the voltage value given to the transfer roller when the current value measured by the measuring part 206 is within the specified range of the current value shown by the memory 202. Constantvoltage control is performed by using the voltage value stored in the memory 209, so that the device is shifted to normal copying actions and transfer is executed. |
