<p>PURPOSE:To enable both a CRT display device and an upper- and a lower-screen display device to send a request to access to a main storage controller by arbitrating a memory request signal in the display controller which controls the upper-screen and lower-screen display devices. CONSTITUTION:The display controller consists of first-in first-out type upper- screen and lower-screen image information storage means (31 and 32) which temporarily hold image information taken out of a main storage device and monitors a constant amount of the stored image information, a controller means 33 which performs control so as to generate an upper-screen and a lower-screen request signal making a request to take the image information out of the main storage device 5, an arbitration means 34 which determines the priority of the requests when the upper-screen and lower-screen request signals are sent to the main storage device 5 at the same time, and an upper-screen and lower- screen address generating means 35 which generates addresses required when necessary image information is taken out of the main storage device 5 according to the determination of the arbitration means 34.</p> |
