PURPOSE:To favorably operate a large scale POS system by connecting a host computer and a POS controller with a POS terminal through a store and forward exchange network. CONSTITUTION:The POS terminal 13, the host computer 11 and the POS controller 12 are always connected through a line including the store and forward exchange network 14. The store and forward exchange network 14 incorporates a device accumulating data for respective addresses inside. Data transmitted from respective connection devices to opposite devices are transmitted to the store and forward exchange network 14 whenever it is generated. The device accumulating data in the store and forward exchange network 14 accumulates data by giving the respective address until data addresses to the respective connection devices become a prescribed amount, and transmits them to the opposite devices when the packet of the prescribed data amount is formed. Thus, the respective connection devices can transmit data for the prescribed opposite device generated in the self devices to the store and forward exchange network 14 at any time. In such a case, the store and forward exchange network 14 judges at what timing and to which device data is transmitted. |
